Death is merely delayed in pluralistic society. Such is the benefit of tolerance as we share many points of view with one another. However, demands of others tend to overwhelm one's own capacity for tolerance unless one is made capable to move beyond tolerance into acts of love. Thus is death swallowed up in life as love reigns supreme.
Submitting to the dominion of God gives one a way of seeing things that is impossible otherwise. Thus is Christianity summed up in one's confession that "Jesus is Lord." To be a Christian is to be enlightened by the Lordship of Jesus Christ so that one may see light in the light of God Almighty. Love lets one know the light is on.
