Is it dumb to disbelieve in God?

I would wager that people who do not believe in God simply do not want to believe in God. They may make up what they consider reasons for why they do not believe, often citing something they imagine about God that they do not like. Do they not see that such denial has less to do with belief than with personal preference?

Disbelief does nothing to diminish truth; it diminishes only the stature of the one who is in denial that God is and has created all that is. The disbelieving one may whine about wanting one's own way, but one's own will ultimately is subject to the will of God, whose final judgment definitely decides what is truly to be believed.

Is it dumb to disbelieve in God? That depends what one means by dumb. Dumb animals do what they have been created to do. Dumb humans do otherwise.
